勒克莱齐奥，一九四〇年生于法国尼斯，一九六三年出版第一部小说《诉讼笔录》，并获得雷诺多文学奖。至今已出版四十多部作品，包括小说、随笔、翻译等。一九八〇年，勒克莱齐奥以小说《沙漠》获得保尔•莫朗文学奖。一九九四年，他在法国《读书》杂志一次读者调查中，被评选为当代最伟大的法语作家之一。 二〇〇八年，勒克莱齐奥荣获诺贝尔文学奖。
